As of September 24th, the United States government implemented new Section 301 tariffs of 10% on $200 billion worth of Chinese imports. Starting January 1, 2019, the level of the additional tariffs will increase to 25%.

The affected harmonized tariff codes include all fasteners except for nuts. Of the 6,031 HTS codes initially proposed, over 95% of the items are affected by this new regulation.

Section 301 tariffis act as a tax which means all imports of affected fasteners have a replacement cost increase of 10%.

So what does this mean to you the customer? It unfortunately means an increase in our prices. While we do our best to keep our prices competitive so we can pass along the best price to you, the customer, the reality is we must deal with this new regulation and adjust our business model accordingly.

As an alternative, one of the things you might want to consider is to look for USA made products (please speak with one of our sales representatives to inquire about USA made if you can't find the item you are looking for).
