Ask ASMC Weekly Mailbag: Week of October 21st

Posted by Michael on 21st Oct 2019

Brody asks: I used to own a fastener company and have a ton of fasteners that I'm looking to liquidate and unload.  Would you be interested in buying any of them?

You can send the excel file with a list of what you have to: sales@asmc.net.  Please note that we will only get back to you if we are interested.

Lauren asks: I'm looking for a particular type of fastener.  I see you carry the import version, I just wanted to see if you carried the same part but domestically made?  I only need a small quantity like what you offer for the import.

Thanks for your question Lauren.  Typically, if we carry a domestic part for a certain item, it would already be listed on the website.  For special orders where something would need to be made in the US, the minimum to even have it quoted is $100 and the price may be significantly higher than what you are looking to spend.  Please feel free to reach out to our sales department and speak with one of our representatives by phone (888-660-0334) or email (sales@asmc.net).

Holly asks: I recently had something quoted by you and rather than call and give my credit card, I wanted to see if there was an option to make a payment via your website?

Great question.  If you don't have an open account, you can turn a quote into an order by going to https://www.asmc.net/paynow to pay with a credit card. Enter the quote # into the invoice # field. You can also send a PayPal payment to sales@asmc.net.

Herman asks: I recently started my own business and I'm looking to get setup with credit terms.  What would be the process for doing so?

Hi Herman.  The first thing to do would be to fill out a credit application.  Please make sure you sign it.  However, one of the things we look at when granting to credit to an applicable business are things like how many years you have been around and we will also ask and check with references as well.  So if you are just starting out, you might want to wait some time before trying to establish credit.
