With a short week due to us celebrating Independence Day on Thursday, let's get to this week's mailbag: 

Mel asks: I'm looking for a specific fastener that I don't see on your website.  Normally I get the product from China directly.  Are you able to match quotes I've received from them directly?

Hi Mel.  For the most part, if you are comparing pricing from ASMC with a direct import from China, the prices from China are always going to be lower.  While our pricing might be higher, by ordering with ASMC you get the dedicated customer support if something should go wrong and the guarantee that we will fix the problem quickly and efficiently if ordered with us.  

May asks: I wanted to have something shipped to me in Malaysia.  Since I know you do not ship DHL, what are my options if I wanted to use my account?

Thanks for the question May.  One option we have in this case, is for you to purchase the items on the website, pick the "Will Call" option at checkout, and then arrange a pickup with whatever carrier you like to pick up the package from our office.  All we ask is that you send us the pre-paid label ahead of time so we can have it ready when the carrier arrives. 

Evan asks: Are you able to have parts cut down on your items?  I was looking at a metric fastener with a specific length and it is not a standard part.  

Provided the quantity is right, we are able to have parts cut down to a specific length.  In order to receive a quote, please fill out the "Request A Quote" form on the ASMC Industrial homepage.  Make sure you include how short the fastener needs to be, material, and quantity.
