ASK ASMC Weekly Mailbag- Week of April 15th

Posted by Michael on 15th Apr 2019

Thomas asks: I'm looking at one of the items on the website, and I am wondering if it is partial or full thread.  How am I able to find that out?

Hi Thomas.  Normally that information is in the product description.  Look for either the PT (partial thread) or FT (full thread) designation.  For instance, in this example, the description reads, "3/8-16 x 1 1/2 (FT) Coarse Thread Grade 5 Carriage Bolt Medium Carbon Steel Yellow Zinc Plated."  So it is obviously a fully threaded bolt

If that information is not in there, you can click on our "Bolt and Screw Thread Lengths" link to find out how much thread is on the fastener.  If that still does not help you find the answer you are looking for, please feel free to reach out to us.

TJ asks: I have a long list of items that I'd like to have quoted.  Am I able to send you an excel file of the list rather than fill out the "Request for Quote" link on the homepage?

Hi TJ.  On the "Request for Quote" page, you can actually attach a file with all of the items you'd like quoted.  Please be sure to include the quantity you would need for every item.

Sharon asks: Do you carry M7 set screws?

Hi Sharon.  If you are unable to find the item you are looking for on the website, please feel free to contact us via phone (888-660-0334) or email (sales@asmc.net) and we can help.

Terry asks: When will you be releasing your next newsletter?

Our newsletters come out monthly.  Look for one at the end of this week.
