ASK ASMC Weekly Mailbag- Week of January 28th

Posted by Michael on 28th Jan 2019

Happy Monday.  Hope everyone is staying warm.  Here in the Midwest, we are approaching record lows later on this week with windchills possibly down to -50.

But enough about the cold.  Let's get on to this week's mailbag:

From Sean: I want to set up terms with ASMC.  How would I go about doing that?

Thanks Sean.  For those companies looking to set up terms with ASMC, please ask us to send you a credit application.  Make sure to fill it out in full and we will get back to you once we hear back from your references.  Please note, we ask that you spend a minimum of $2500 per year to remain on N30 terms.

From Melissa: I wanted to get a sample of one of your screws to see if it will work with my application.  If it does, I plan on buying more in bulk quantities.  What is the process for me to get a sample.

For most of our vendors, getting a sample isn't a problem.  All we ask is that you supply a UPS account number for us to bill and we can accommodate most requests.

From Greg: I'm filling out your "Request for Quote" form on your website.  However, I only need a small quantity of bolts.  Should I be filling out the form or just giving you a call?

For the most part (unless we are talking about custom manufactured pieces) taking one of our items and asking for a quote of anything less than the minimum quantity is not worth filling out the form.  As mentioned in previous blog posts, we cannot sell anything less than what the minimum quantity states on the website.

From Hector: I see an item on the website and it says, "Out of stock- Please call."  I have spoken to someone at ASMC.  When can I expect to hear back regarding the availability of the item?

We try to accommodate all quote requests same day if we are able to.  In some rare cases, it can be a day longer but nothing outside of 48 business hours for you to get a quote back if you have requested one.
