Q: How can I get a quote/estimate?
A: Download one of the excel spreadsheets and fill in the quantities you want. The spreadsheets will automatically calculate a subtotal for each line (in the rightmost column) and a total (rightmost column, bottom row). If you are having trouble with the spreadsheets, feel free to email sales@asmc.net with a request for an estimate and we will be happy to get one to you.
Q: How do I order?
A: Email is the best way. If you filled out one of the spreadsheets, per above, just email it to sales@asmc.net. You can also purchase items through eBay, but if you are reading this, you will probably want to contact me directly, as most things are priced higher on eBay to cover the multitude of fees. For smaller orders and automated checkout, you can go to the ASMC eBay store. There is no minimum order on tools.
Q: Is there a minimum order?
A: There is no minimum order for fasteners, however, any order line
under $2.00 will be charged a $1.00 picking fee (If you order 10 screws that
cost $0.02 each, you will be charged $1.20 for that line in the order).
Q: How do you set your pricing? How do I pay?
A: Our have pricing similar to hardware wholesalers (the guys hardware stores buy from). The main difference is you don’t need a business license to buy from us, and you don’t need to buy case quantities. We accept payment by PayPal, credit card, cash, money order, and check (checks must clear before items will be shipped).
Q: How often do you pack and ship orders? What shipping method do you typically use?
A: Orders are picked and packed Sunday through Thursday, and ship the following day. We typically use USPS flat rate Priority Mail boxes. We can ship 70lbs for $16 plus insurance (as long as it fits in the box, and a lot fits in the box!) We can also use UPS ground with our account number or yours.
Q: What is on your eBay store?
A: The eBay store has a subset of what this website. You can buy smaller lots from ASMC on ebay (There is a $50 minimum direct order for fasteners and other parts).
Q: I placed an order for fasteners, but the PayPal invoice you sent me is higher than the estimate? Why is that?
A: We try to fill orders as accurately as possible. Everything is scale counted using a counting scale with .0001 lb resolution. In some instances you may get less than you ordered if we don’t have enough stock to fill your order. In other instances, you may get more—either because you ordered less than the minimum for the order line and your quantity was adjusted to meet the minimum, or because the item is already bagged in a convenient and reasonable quantity. You will get a packing list via email prior to shipping the order so you can see what you will be getting.
